Out of stockThe H. Upmann Connoisseur B is the widest and most substantial cigar in the Connoisseur family — a Geniales vitola measuring 149mm with a 54 ring gauge that delivers a medium-bodied smoke of real depth and complexity across approximately 70 minutes. Rich cedar, espresso and dark chocolate with a long, smooth finish — the Connoisseur B rewards those who take their time, revealing layers of flavour that unfold steadily across its substantial gauge.
Founded in Havana in 1844 by German banker Hermann Dietrich Upmann, H. Upmann is one of Cuba's oldest and most distinguished cigar houses. Upmann arrived in Cuba to expand his family's banking interests but became captivated by the tobacco industry, purchasing a factory and producing cigars under his own name. The brand is credited with introducing the cedar cigar box — a practice that became the global standard — and with creating some of the most refined blends in the Habanos portfolio. Today H. Upmann is revered for elegance and consistency across formats from the compact Half Corona to the stately Sir Winston.
The Connoisseur B is a wide, generous smoke — the 54 ring gauge opens up the draw and delivers a richer, more enveloping profile than narrower H. Upmann formats.
- Pre-light: Rich cedar, dark fruit and a hint of cocoa.
- First Third: Cream and cedar lead, with a notably cool, smooth draw. Espresso notes develop quickly on the retrohale.
- Second Third: Dark chocolate and leather emerge alongside cedar. The body builds steadily through medium.
- Final Third: A long, smooth finish — lingering espresso and dark chocolate with a subtle sweetness.
- Overall: Medium-bodied, rich and deeply satisfying — the boldest expression of the Connoisseur range.
