Overview And Tasting Notes
The My Father Blue Petit Robusto is a compact, beautifully presented cigar that captures the character of the brand’s first Honduran-made blend in a shorter format. Measuring 4½" × 50–52, it offers a satisfying 30–40 minute smoke — ideal when you want full flavour and refinement without committing to a long session. Crafted with a Honduran-grown wrapper over Honduran binder and fillers, the Blue line marks My Father’s expansion beyond Nicaragua while staying true to its robust, Cuban-inspired style. Box-pressed and dressed in elegant blue bands echoing the colours of the Honduran flag, it’s precise in construction — firm yet responsive, with an easy draw, even burn and dense, aromatic smoke from start to finish.

About My Father
My Father Cigars was founded in 2003 by legendary master blender José “Pepín” García and his son Jaime García, with roots in a small factory in Little Havana, Miami. Drawing on generations of Cuban cigar-making tradition, the Garcías quickly established My Father as a benchmark for bold, flavourful cigars with impeccable construction. The original My Father line — created by Jaime as a tribute to his father — helped redefine the premium Nicaraguan category and has collected numerous 90+ ratings and accolades. Today My Father operates a state-of-the-art factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is recognised worldwide for innovation, family heritage and an unwavering commitment to quality — a reputation the Honduran Blue line extends into new terroir.
Tasting Notes of the My Father Blue Petit Robusto
A medium-to-full, creamy, box-pressed short smoke.
- Initial Third: Opens medium-plus with cedar, fresh earth and toasted grain wrapped in a gentle natural sweetness; subtle floral cream and light baking spice sit behind a soft white-pepper tingle on the retrohale.
- Middle Third: Deepens as cocoa and roasted coffee come forward, joined by richer woodiness and a touch of caramelised sugar; the texture turns rounder and creamier, the floral note evolving toward honey, with the strength edging medium-to-full without becoming aggressive.
- Final Third: Concentrates into darker espresso, cocoa husk and more pronounced spice, with toasted nuts and dry oak; a long, satisfying finish of coffee, cedar and gentle sweetness, and a last refined push of spice and earth on the retrohale.
- Aroma: A fragrant bouquet of cedar, cocoa, roasted nuts and subtle floral sweetness, underpinned by that classic, slightly tangy My Father earthiness.

Fun Facts About the My Father Blue Petit Robusto
The Blue line is My Father’s first Honduran-made blend — a notable step for a house synonymous with Nicaragua — and its blue bands are a deliberate nod to the colours of the Honduran flag.
At 4½", the Petit Robusto packs the full My Father experience into a 30–40 minute smoke — proof that the family’s bold, structured style doesn’t need a long format to deliver.
Despite the shorter size and new country of origin, the Blue keeps the box press and dense, aromatic construction that define the wider My Father portfolio.
