The Oscar Valladares Leaf Maduro Robusto is a distinctive, hand-rolled cigar crafted in Honduras, measuring 5 inches (127 mm) with a 50 ring gauge. Each cigar is uniquely presented, encased in a rustic tobacco leaf that protects and enhances the cigar before smoking. Underneath, you'll find a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over Honduran binder and a blend of aged Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. The construction ensures a slow, even burn and a consistently smooth draw, delivering a medium to full-bodied experience that is both approachable and richly flavourful. Developed by Oscar Valladares at his boutique factory in Danli, Honduras, each Leaf cigar represents a deep connection between the land on which the tobaccos were grown and all the people who contributed to its production. Even the bands are made by a company local to the factory using organic agave to craft the paper. Instead of cellophane, the torcedors have laid each stick inside of a leaf of tobacco for aging and protection. Although at first glance, this may not be the most attractive cigar, once you remove the piece of tobacco leaf used as cellophane, you will discover seamless construction as well as an oily wrapper which exudes delicious flavours and aromas.

OSCAR VALLADARES LEAF MADURO ROBUSTO TASTING NOTES 

- Initial Third: Opens with bold notes of dark cocoa, espresso beans, and a peppery zing. Accents of sweet cedar, raisin, toasted almond, and black pepper. Earthy undertones and a touch of honey-like sweetness emerge, balanced by mocha and spice. 

- Middle Third: The profile becomes creamier, with pronounced oak, milk chocolate, and salted peanuts. Leather, hay, and earth add depth, while the sweetness persists and the pepper mellows. 

- Final Third: Intensifies with lingering espresso, cinnamon, oak, and leather. The sweetness recedes, replaced by a more robust, earthy finish with subtle spice and a hint of citrus. 

- Aroma: Expect a bouquet of sweet cedar, barnyard earth, leather, chocolate, and a gentle floral note. The smoke is creamy and dense, with a velvet-like texture and a consistently satisfying draw.
