Overview And Tasting Notes
The EIROA The First 20 Years Colorado Robusto Prensado is a box-pressed, medium-to-full-bodied Honduran cigar created to mark Christian Eiroa’s first two decades in the premium cigar industry. A Robusto measuring 5" × 50, it wears a Honduran Corojo wrapper aged over five years to develop its signature Colorado hue, over binder and filler drawn from the same fertile Jamastrán Valley — a true Honduran puro built on the Eiroa family’s century-long tobacco heritage. The box press gives an even, cool combustion and a chewy, creamy smoke; expect a full spectrum of indulgent flavour — dark chocolate, espresso, baking spices, nuts, earth and leather — in a harmonious, evolving cigar that holds you from first light to final draw.

About EIROA
EIROA is the personal vision of Christian Eiroa, a third-generation cigar maker whose family has shaped the Honduran tobacco landscape for generations. The Eiroa family famously built Camacho into a powerhouse brand before selling it to the Davidoff group in 2008; in 2012 Christian launched his own C.L.E. Cigar Company and opened the El Aladino factory in Danlí, where EIROA cigars are made. The brand is dedicated to preserving traditional Cuban cigar-making techniques using only the finest Honduran tobaccos and the family’s authentic Corojo — the original Cuban seed the Eiroas are renowned for keeping alive. The First 20 Years line is Christian’s personal tribute: the tobacco was a gift from his father, Julio, blending the family’s heritage with Christian’s own two decades of expertise.
Tasting Notes of the EIROA The First 20 Years Colorado Robusto Prensado
A creamy, chewy, medium-to-full box-press full of classic Corojo character.
- Initial Third: Opens with bold espresso, dark chocolate and a touch of cinnamon, with subtle cedar, graham cracker and a gentle peppery spice; hay, chestnut and white pepper on the cold draw.
- Middle Third: Develops richer earthiness, creamy coffee and a mellow sweetness, with nuts, leather and cabinet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper) becoming pronounced; lemongrass and sourdough notes may emerge, adding complexity and balance.
- Final Third: Intensifies with deeper earth, espresso and leather; pepper and spice return, balanced by a lingering sweetness and a touch of citrus, for a robust yet refined finish of chocolate, nuts and spice.
- Aroma: An inviting bouquet of cedar, barnyard, toasted nuts and a hint of floral sweetness, with the signature Corojo spice and earthiness throughout.
- Mouthfeel: Creamy and chewy with a velvet-like texture and a smooth draw, enhanced by the box press for even combustion.

Fun Facts About the EIROA The First 20 Years Colorado Robusto Prensado
The line celebrates Christian Eiroa’s first 20 years in cigars — and the tobacco itself was a gift from his father, Julio, making it a genuinely personal, family-heritage release rather than a marketing exercise.
The boxes are a tribute in themselves: unique lift-top cases bound with a leather ribbon, echoing Christian’s grandfather’s habit of keeping his cigars in a trunk at the foot of his bed.
The “Colorado” in the name refers to the wrapper’s rich reddish-brown hue, achieved by ageing the Honduran Corojo leaf for over five years — patience you can taste in the smoothness of the smoke.
FAQ About the EIROA The First 20 Years Colorado Robusto Prensado
Is EIROA the same as Aladino?
They’re made by the same family but are different companies: EIROA is Christian Eiroa’s C.L.E. Cigar Company, while Aladino is JRE Tobacco, run by his father Julio and brother Justo. Both use the family’s authentic Corojo, which is why they share a classic-Cuban character.
What is a “Prensado”?
“Prensado” means box-pressed — the cigars are pressed into a square shape, which many smokers feel gives a cooler, more even burn and a slightly more concentrated flavour delivery.
What does “Honduran puro” mean here?
Every leaf — wrapper, binder and filler — is Honduran, grown in the Jamastrán Valley on the Eiroa family’s own tobacco, from authentic Cuban Corojo seed.
Where are your EIROA cigars sourced from?
