The Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 Year of the Rat 2020 is a special, limited-edition Cuban cigar released to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rat. This commemorative release is presented in a bespoke red lacquered box, adorned with gold accents and an engraved rat motif, symbolizing wealth and good fortune in Chinese culture. ROMEO Y JULIETA MARAVILLAS 8 YEAR OF THE RAT 2020 TASTING NOTES

- Initial Third: Dominated by creamy peanuts and leather, with notes of hay, cocoa powder, sourdough bread, cedar, earth, and mineral salt. Retrohale brings floral sweetness and white pepper. Strength starts mild, quickly building toward medium.

- Middle Third: Citrus and aromatic bouquet become more prominent. Notable flavours include lychee, lime zest, and maple leaf on the retrohale. The smoke remains creamy, with a subtle sweetness and balanced complexity.

- Final Third: Strength builds to medium-full. Richer notes of wood, earth, and a lingering sweetness. Hints of spice, leather, and a bittersweet citrus finish. 

- Aroma: Expect a bouquet of roasted chestnuts, thyme, cedar, and a touch of cinnamon, with a creamy, aromatic smoke throughout.

- Mouthfeel: The smoke is smooth and creamy, with a velvet-like texture and a consistently even burn. The large ring gauge ensures a cool, leisurely draw and ample smoke output.
